A group of new liberal arts college presidents of color has formed an alliance to collectively address issues of racial diversity, equity and inclusion on their campuses.

PayScale, Inc. and the USC Race and Equity Center are partnering to help organizations achieve pay equity that goes beyond a one-time engagement and incorporates continuous monitoring and maintenance to keep pace with the business. Working together, both organizations will uniquely combine research, technology and advisory services to expand diversity, equity and inclusion into compensation. Beginning in October 2020, PayScale and the USC Race and Equity Center’s Pay Equity Analysis and Advisory offering will be available for PayScale MarketPay customers to create a path to pay equity.

More than half of the 115 presidents in the California community-college system have formed a new partnership with the University of Southern California’s Race and Equity Center, pledging action and financial commitments to diversity on their campuses.

On Monday, Dr. Estela Bensimon—arguably one of the nation’s most prominent and prolific educational scholars—announced her retirement from USC and the merging of the Center for Urban Education (CUE) that she founded in 2000 with Harper’s Race and Equity Center.
